Mayor Michael A. Nutter proclaimed April 13 Jazz Appreciation Day for the city of Philadelphia. This gathering of musicians was assembled to celebrate the occasion and to duplicate a historical photograph of local jazz musicans. Following a ceremony and a speech by the Mayor a photograph was taken by the same photographer who took a similar photograph in 1995. I too was on the scene with my camera documenting the days events and this is what I came away with.
